Pediatric DentistryIf you are looking for a dentist for your child, Dr. Adli is a general dentist who loves treating children. Our office is kid-friendly, and we make visits fun.

What Is a Pediatric Dentist?

A pediatric dentist is a licensed specialist who has completed two-years of post-graduate training specific to dentistry for children. Dr. Adli is a general dentist whose training makes her well-qualified to care for children’s basic dental needs. If your child needs to see a specialist, Dr. Adli won’t hesitate to refer you to one.

Dr. Adli is a family dentist. We have many families as patients who enjoy the convenience of having one dentist they can trust to care for the entire family’s dental needs. One of our patients expressed it this way:

“My whole family comes here. Dr. Adli and her staff are great, even with kids. Although kids usually hate going to the dentist, your staff is very nice to them. Even though I moved far away, I still go to Dr. Adli, because she is the best dentist I have been to.”

How We Make Visits Fun

Our entire staff is very friendly, and we enjoy having children in our office. We blow up balloons for children, and we have fun toys to give them.

We listen to what your child says about his or her comfort, and we watch for facial expressions and body language too. We take the appointment slowly, and we never push your child to have any dental treatment. If your child wants us to stop, we stop. And you are welcome to come into the treatment room with your child.

Our goal is to help your child have good memories about dental treatment, so that he or she will want to return and maintain good oral health, even as an adult.

Helping Your Child Maintain Good Oral Health

Dr. Adli will give you tips to progressively help your child maintain good oral hygiene. You will start by brushing and flossing your child’s teeth, and as he or she becomes able to hold a toothbrush, your child can help. About age 9, with your supervision, your child will have the dexterity to floss on his or her own.

Preparing for a Pediatric Dental Appointment

To help make your child comfortable for his or her own dental appointment, we invite you to bring your child with you to your own dental exam and cleaning. Your child will see you have a pleasant experience and will likely want to imitate your efforts to maintain good oral health.
