InvisalignDr. Camille Adli is an Invisalign® certified provider. These invisible braces straighten all of your teeth in half the time of traditional braces. But if you want an even faster way to straighten only the teeth that show when you smile, she prefers another, less expensive brand. Only one appliance is required, it works faster than Invisalign, and the results are beautiful. But first, let’s review the pros and cons of Invisalign.

Invisalign Pros and Cons

Pros

  • It straightens your teeth in half the time of traditional braces.
  • The aligners are invisible, so people won’t notice them.
  • The results are fast—half the time of traditional braces.
  • It straightens all of your teeth.

Cons

  • It costs more than traditional braces.
  • A new set of aligners is required every two weeks.
  • Other appliances that focus only on the teeth that show when you smile work faster and cost less.

An Alternative to Invisalign

If you want or need all of your teeth aligned, Dr. Adli is well-qualified to provide you with Invisalign. She has successfully treated many patients with Invisalign and achieved beautiful results. But many patients are particularly concerned with the alignment of the teeth that show when they smile, and they want it done quickly. If that’s the case with you, Dr. Adli prefers the Inman Aligner®.

The Inman Aligner is a thin metal appliance that quickly aligns your front teeth—upper, lower, or both. Opposing metal bows are guided by nickel titanium coils to gently move your teeth to the correct position. As the photo to the right illustrates, the inner bow gently pushes forward on your front teeth, while the outer bow gently pulls them back. For the fastest results possible for your case, the appliance needs to be worn about 20 hours a day.

How the Inman Aligner Compares With Invisalign

Treatment time with Invisalign is about six months to a year. The Inman Aligner has an average treatment time of six to eighteen weeks. It also costs less. Your savings will depend, in part, on the treatment time required for your case.

Instead of changing aligners every two weeks as with Invisalign, only one Inman appliance is needed to straighten your teeth—and it’s also removable. You can remove this aligner to eat, and to floss and brush your teeth. You can also remove it for a few hours for special occasions, or to have pictures taken.

While Invisalign straightens all of your teeth, if you want a faster way to straighten only the teeth that show when you smile, the Inman Aligner might be right for your case. Although this alternative is not invisible, the thin, low-profile metal makes it less noticeable than traditional metal braces. This appliance is very comfortable. You will adjust to it in a week or two.

As with any orthodontic treatment, when you treatment period is complete, you will need to wear an aligner to maintain the position of your teeth.
